I'm Dr. Elizabeth Consky, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the owner of Georgia Oral Surgery. I hold both a DDS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MD from Emory University School of Medicine, where I also completed my General Surgery internship and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency. That dual-degree training isn't just a line on a résumé. It shapes how I approach every case, combining the surgical precision of a dentist with the broader medical perspective of a physician.

My path to oral surgery started earlier than most. I grew up in my father's oral surgery practice in Ontario, Canada. He is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has spent decades serving his community and mentoring other surgeons, including my brother and me. By the time I entered dental school, I already understood what it meant to treat patients with skill, accountability, and heart.

That upbringing is the foundation of everything we do at Georgia Oral Surgery. My philosophy is simple: do things once, and do them right. Treat every patient as if they were family. Listen before you speak. And when something isn't right, make it right every single time.

Georgia Oral Surgery is a small, intentional practice, and that's by design. Our team operates with the same values I bring to every procedure: efficiency, genuine warmth, and a commitment to making a difficult experience as easy as possible. We don't pursue volume for volume's sake. We provide excellent care, one patient at a time.

After 58 years in our current office, we're preparing to begin an exciting new chapter. Our tentative moving date is October 5, 2026, when we plan to welcome patients to our new office at 315 West Ponce De Leon Avenue, Suite 900, Decatur, GA 30030. The building offers ample parking and is conveniently located across from Mellow Mushroom in downtown Decatur.

We know moving after nearly six decades is a big step, and there may be a few hiccups along the way. We will contact you directly if the move affects your appointment, but please don't hesitate to call us for confirmation, directions, or help finding the new office. We want every part of your visit, including getting through the front door, to feel as easy as possible.

The new space is being designed to better serve our patients and their families. It will include a comfortable, welcoming environment for families, beautiful patient rooms, and accessible spaces for patients with mobility limitations. Parents will also have space to settle in or work while their children are receiving care.

Behind the scenes, the office will feature up-to-date imaging technology, advanced sterilization equipment, and dedicated surgical suites that allow us to provide precise, efficient care in a safe and comfortable setting. Our technology includes CBCT imaging for detailed surgical planning, along with premium implant systems from Nobel Biocare, BioHorizons, and 3i.

Patient safety also extends beyond the procedure itself. We offer opioid-free pain management options, including Exparel, when clinically appropriate to support a safer and more comfortable recovery.
