Georgia Oral Surgery has been part of the Decatur community since 1968 — and under Dr. Consky's leadership, that legacy is alive and well. I just wanted to say thank you to the office manager and to Dr. Consky. I do not have a long relationship with the practice. I had an emergency tooth removal on January 20th. That’s it. One visit. I received a letter noting appreciation to provide me care. The letter also had a short handwritten note from Dr. Consky. I am 53 years old and this is a throwback to the world when I was young. Nobody does this anymore. I generally get the sense I am “lucky” when a doctor will see me. This little note is really great. Thank you for taking the time to do it. For what it’s worth, while my time in the office was short, it was a very professional experience. I was put at ease by all the staff as well as Dr. Consky. Nobody wants to have an emergency tooth extraction, but you guys made it as good as could be.

Elizabeth Consky, DDS, MD

Dr. Consky didn't just study oral surgery — she grew up in it. Raised in her father's OMS practice in Ontario, Canada, she went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Princeton, her DDS from UNC Chapel Hill, and her MD from Emory University School of Medicine, followed by a full surgical residency at Emory Hospitals. That dual-degree training is rare, and it means her patients benefit from a surgeon who understands both the dental and the medical dimensions of every case. Just as importantly, Dr. Consky is a mother, a neighbor, and a member of this community — she sees her patients at the grocery store, at school events, and on the Decatur square, and she wouldn't have it any other way.
